Waste Planning Policy
This web map shows indicative boundaries of the waste management sites with known or assumed lawful use in Worcestershire, as recorded in the Waste Needs Assessment (Early baselining and engagement version, February 2026). It is intended to assist in the development and implementation of Waste Planning Policy.
It is not and does not purport to be an official record of all waste sites in the county. In particular, it does not replace the information held on the planning register. It may also differ from other datasets held by other organisations, including those held by the Environment Agency.
Data on the web map will be updated as far as possible as part of the Minerals and Waste Local Development Framework Authority Monitoring Report cycle.
If you are aware of any waste management sites not shown on the web map which you think should be taken into account in the Waste Needs Assessment, please send details of the sites to us at
wasteplanningpolicy@worcestershire.gov.uk. We will assess whether the sites meet the criteria set out in the Waste Needs Assessment for inclusion as waste sites.
Do not rely on information from this web map as an alternative to traditional land searches or obtaining copies of the most up-to-date data direct from source organisations.
